Where to begin...

As a Christmas gift for ~Tobias-the-Fox, I sent him one of my index card pictures of him and ~Kit-Airheart and a letter. You know, holiday season of giving and all of that rot. As a gift, he sent me an awesome set of 72 Prismacolor markers along with a bunch of other little trinkets, which I got in the mail today. He also sent back the card, and I colored it with the markers. I'm pretty proud of myself, considering that I haven't used markers in about 3 years.

I know there's some mistakes, like the missing white on Tobias' left cheek, and some small messyness, but I like how it came out. The scanner ate the red pretty bad, and it's a lot more impressive in real life. It feels good to know that I'm still capable of using markers.

Thanks, Toby. These markers are fucking awesome.

While a tiny bit resentful knowing hhe thought of sending those markers to me, let's not kid ourselves; you obviously put them to good use. Shinyness!

Letter? What did it say, dare I ask? :p

Thank you so much, Morningstar!

Isn't it funny how the word 'politics' is made up of the words 'poli' meaning 'many' in Latin, and 'tics' as in 'bloodsucking creatures’?

You certainly have a lot more control over markers than I do! Though, I've never tried using Prismacolor markers before. How do they lay on? Is it better than with your standard marker, or just about the same?

I like Prismacolors because the ink blends together really well and the colors are vibrant. Plus, they're double sided, with a broad tip for filling large areas and then a thin tip for doing details. And they're not water based like Crayola markers are, so you can do cool stuff with solvents.

The thing with markers is that you have to work quickly to blend colors while the ink is still wet. Colorless blenders are markers that essentially have clear ink to make blending easier. You also have to layer colors. The red coat, green coat, and red fox's fur all have a base layer of yellow to give them more depth before the other colors were put down on top of them.

Long winded explanation. *_* sorry.
